About Wild by Nature

Wild by Nature is a Dutch based rewilding agency and platform for engagement with wilder nature across the planet. Its mission is reconnecting people with the natural world we are all part of, through nature restoration programs, meaningful rewilding journeys and inspiring ceremonies. In our busy everyday lives in cities and profit driven Western world, we have become detached from our roots. From hunters and gatherers, farmers and herders, we have become factory workers and digital city dwellers within just a few thousand years. In addition, we have cultivated, touched, degraded and destroyed 70% of our planet’s terrestial land. Fortunately, we can still restore and rewild our ecosystems and mitigate our climate and biodiversity crises. Sustainability and technological innovations are not the key solution to our climate problem. The solution is hidden in ourselves and the way we humans treat our forests, soils, oceans, mountains, wetlands and rivers. The intrinsic value of untouched nature, clean air, flowing rivers, free roaming animals and healthy soils, surpasses any form of monetary appreciation of nature or natural resources. Only when we reconnect with nature and rewild ourselves again, can we successfully rewild our planet.
