About Wild & Free Foundation
Wild and Free Foundation pairs conservation with community uplift. Rhinos are keystone species; our model is community first: youth football and local livelihoods that replace the pull of poaching with pride and progress. We back the people who live beside rhino habitats, because conservation lasts when communities benefit from wildlife alive. Our flagship, the Rhino Cup Champions League, engages thousands of youth in structured football, creates local jobs, and builds conservation buy-in. Launched in 2016 with 4 teams in Sàbié, Mozambique, the RCCL now fields 104 men’s and women’s teams across Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Tanzania, including youth divisions. With an average of 20 members per team, we reach more than 2,000 players and coaches and support 100+ paid local roles.
