About Wild Timor Coffee
Wild Timor Coffee sources the best green coffee directly from farmers in Timor-Leste (East Timor). The company provides green or roasted beans for individuals, retail or commercial purposes. Maintaining sustainability practices and providing a fair price for the individual farmers is one of the highest priorities for Wild Timor Coffee, and we implement numerous measures to help ensure these goals are achieved. Sounds fancy, but its pretty simple really, fair for the farmers, fair for us and fair for the consumers. Wild Timor Coffee Company started their journey as Peace keepers to East Timor. Returning to the now free Timor Leste they felt their job was not complete . So upon returning to help their friends and neighbors to trade coffee they found first hand that the community did not have access to the most basic need of all. Water is ferried kilometers by the women and children who could be working or at school. Wild Timor’s new mission is to provide access to year round clean water to the village and the source of their coffee. The World Health Organization recommends 20 liters of safe water per day for proper health and hygiene. We can provide this. Many of the serious diseases that the Timorese face today are due to unsafe or inadequate supplies of running water. More people care about their foot print on this earth and together we can make a difference to people lives. We have added TWO successful cafes in melbourne with view to opening more.
