About Wild Women Nonprofit
The purpose of Wild Women is to educate and empower women and girls in the outdoors through education, excursions, skill-building, and reflection. The goal is to reconnect people with themselves, each other, and the land while building resilient communities. Wild Women will offers retreat-style outdoor educational events which promote personal growth, healing, and wholeness. We integrate perspectives from philosophy, history, environmental studies, religious studies and spirituality, evolutionary science, and anthropology. We believe that access to nature is a human right and Wild Women connects marginalized, undeserved women to the outdoors, addressing environmental justice issues of access and privilege. In addition, Wild Women is a community hub, connecting land-based initiatives to each other, building mutually beneficial relationships.
