About Wildrest Hollow

Wildrest Hollow is a community interest company developing an off-grid, low-impact land project in rural Wales. Our aim is to create an inclusive, sustainable space where people can access rest, nourishment, and reconnection with land — regardless of income, background, or circumstance. We provide open-access rest spaces, grow food using regenerative methods, and offer collaborative learning in low-impact living, ecological stewardship, and mutual aid. The project is grounded in the One Planet Development framework and aligns with national and local sustainability goals. At its core, Wildrest Hollow addresses intersecting challenges: climate breakdown, social isolation, burnout, food insecurity, and the growing lack of accessible green space. Our work combines practical infrastructure with cultural and social transformation — developing a replicable, community-informed model that centres equity, wellbeing, and ecological repair. We are currently securing land, establishing essential infrastructure, and forming partnerships with aligned organisations, funders, and networks committed to systemic change. Wildrest Hollow CIC exists to demonstrate that sustainable, inclusive, land-based living is not only possible — it’s urgently necessary.
