WCM was started in 1968 in response to the changing social and economic conditions occurring within the community. Since 1968 Wilkinsburg Community Ministry has continued to grow and change in response to new and emerging needs within the community. We have congregations, judicatories, businesses and individuals that support the ministry, plus a vast number of volunteers and a dedicated staff. Our mission statement says: Acting as the cooperative body of the member congregations, WCM develops, facilitates, and delivers programs to meet the physical, social, economic and spiritual needs of Wilkinsburg families, individuals and member congregations.
