About Willamette Light Brigade

The Willamette Light Brigade is a Portland-based nonprofit that enriches the public realm by harnessing the power of art and artful lighting to transform the cityscape. The activities of the WLB are unlike any other organization in the region in that the programs are free for the public to experience, utilizing the power of art and lighting to transform the city both creatively and economically. The WLB uses art and artful lighting as a catalyst to develop tourism, as an act of placemaking, and as a way to put Portland on an international stage for light and tech-based art. The WLB seeks not only to exhibit and display artwork but to invigorate and enliven the city while doing so.
