About Williams & Humbert
Williams & Humbert is one of the wineries with more history and tradition in the production of wines and brandies from Jerez. The company, founded in 1877, has been involved in the creation of the Denominaciones de Origen Jerez-Xérez-Sherry and Brandy de Jerez and, today, is recognized as one of the most prestigious producers in the world. The winery has its own vineyards in the pagos of Jerez and its facilities, one of the largest wineries in Europe, meet the best conditions for its unique wines to age under the peculiar aging system of Criaderas y Soleras . The company treasures the experience of its more than 140 years dedicated to the production of wines and brandies of Jerez with brands such as Canasta, Pando or Dry Sack, jewels such as Don Guido, Jalifa or Dos Cortados, or its internationally awarded range of brandies solera grand reserve Gran Duque de Alba. Tradition, research and the search for the highest quality are the bases of the work of Williams & Humbert, which over the years has developed a successful diversification plan in the field of distillates and food, with the launch of the Dos Maderas Rums, Cubical Gins or Medina del Encinar hams and cheeses. From the recieved inheritance, with a history dating back to 1920, in 2001 the winery company began to experiment within the line of biological aging becoming a pioneer in this aging of static wines.
