Hello! Welcome to Willow Tree Tutoring! I’d like to take a minute to talk about how we help instill the knowledge needed for your student’s academic successes. First and foremost, each session is tailored to your student’s particular needs on any given day and includes additional resources that schools may not be able to provide. We work beyond the academics and provide a safe place to engage and encourage personal growth, educate and instill responsibility, and have intellectual conversations around academic and social/emotional health. We aim to provide a space where learning and mental health can be accommodated at the same time. Everyone wants to be heard. At Willow Tree, our team has the unique ability to have this “I hear you” moment, even when the student may not have the words themselves. Sometimes kids just need to vent, and we can be the ears. Academics is the ultimate priority, but without addressing the needs and underlying cause of the stresses on the students, there is no focused foundation to build upon. Not only do we provide academic and emotional support, but we take the whole body approach to learning including providing free snacks and drinks to everyone who walks in our doors. This is why the same 3 questions are asked at every session: 1) Are you hungry? 2) Are you thirsty? 3) How was your day? If you are hungry, we will feed you. If you are thirsty, we will provide you a drink. If you are suffering, we will listen. We are here for the students. We are here for each other, and we will always be here for you.
