About Wind's Eye Capital
Wind’s Eye Capital (“WEC”) was founded in 2025 by Britton and Gary Wells to serve as a fiduciary for investors seeking commercial real estate opportunities. With deep rooted ties to the Panhandle of Texas, the founders embrace the Panhandle mentality of working hard, serving others, prioritizing family and faith, giving back, and building lasting and substantive relationships. WEC will primarily serve as a Limited Partner investor alongside best-in-class operators in growth markets in the Sun Belt. As a Limited Partner, WEC will invest in value-add, development, and opportunistic real estate in the light industrial, flex industrial, multifamily, retail, and mixed-use sectors while strategically looking for covered land opportunities. WEC will also selectively identify core and core-plus assets to own and operate as the General Partner. Fundamentally, WEC is a relationship-driven firm providing consistent and transparent communication to its investors. The firm will leverage the expertise of its principals, joint venture partners, and third parties to maximize investor’s returns. WEC will focus on doing business with best-in-class people. Target deal size is $5-$50M, and target primary markets are DFW, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa, and Nashville. Target secondary markets are Raleigh, Orlando, Miami (Tri-County Area), Phoenix, and Las Vegas. WEC will provide up to 90% of the LP equity required to capitalize an investment. WEC's investors consist primarily of HNW individuals in West Texas that have a personal relationship with Britton or Gary Wells. The Founder & Managing Principal, Britton Wells, has closed over $4B in transactions since 2014 for private equity firms and institutions. The Principal, Gary Wells, has a 38-year banking career, primarily in West Texas, in which he was pivotal in taking Happy State Bank from $30M in assets in 1991 to over $6B in assets before the company sold in 2022.
