About Wind2Speed
We provide wind-sport enthusiasts with live wind data from our weather stations at multiple wind-sport spots in South Africa. The data is presented via our portal using a unique Wind Widget which displays live data. This wind and weather information together with the location information will enable you to quickly decide whether the current conditions are suited to your sport. We are very excited and motivated to promote wind-powered sports, to encourage healthy lifestyle habits whilst building an appreciation of the wind and the skills it takes to harness it. Our service is not geared to a specific wind sport and we support any sport that harnesses the wind for speed; windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing, foiling, paragliding, etc. Our predominant focus is on wind speed and direction, and, where relevant tides and water levels. We are not a forecasting service, we focus on the current to short term historic data from our weather stations with a view to provide more longer term historical reports for each location.
