As the first Montessori school in Berkshire (established 1980) the Windsor Montessori School was born out of a passion for child-centred, early years education. Over 40 years on, we remain proudly committed to nurturing the love of learning in every child and providing them with a solid foundation to becoming confidant, independent life-long learners. We have two schools in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, both located on the Crown Estate. The Windsor Montessori School - Home Park was started with just 5 children in 1980 by Menik, our founder and Head of School. Due to popular demand, she opened a 2nd school in 2015 in a building, beautifully renovated for her by the Crown Estate. The Windsor Montessori School - House of Children was specifically designed to provide for babies as well as toddlers. We love working closely with parents to reach our shared goal of producing happy, well-socialised, highly motivated children, always adopting an approach which reflects our key aims to: Create a safe and welcoming space where children feel secure and free to explore and express themselves. Curate a multi-sensory environment in which every child is stimulated, able to thrive and reach their full potential. Provide a rich, holistic and ultimately enjoyable experience of learning, instilling a thirst for knowledge from a very young age. Support children to develop respect for themselves and others so that they become self-aware, socially responsible citizens of their community and the world. Nurture self-belief and self-esteem so that all children feel motivated to succeed. Respect individuality so that every child feels valued within a thriving community, appreciated for their unique qualities and attributes.
