wineSource, the brainchild of Kenneth Kwit a seasoned business leader and wine connoisseur, was an online marketplace that strove to empower small wineries who had little to no national recognition. The ultimate goal was to bring these tremendous wines known only locally or regionally to the wine lovers across the nation. The convoluted rules and regulations that were and still are the bane of the wine industry restrict and bind most small wineries from ever reaching their full potential beyond selling from their tasting room and through local dealers. Large distributors in conjunction with large "wineries" (wine factories to be more accurate) hold almost infinite control over the sale and distribution of wine nationally in the USA. Other online companies learned from the lessons taught by wineSource and have taken the model forward. Even though it was short-lived, those who worked hard to build wineSource are still proud of what they built and of what could have been.
