About Wingman Executive Coaching
If you want to be a thriving, extraordinary leader in your engagements with others, I want to be your “wingman.” I’m a former US Air Force colonel and fighter pilot, and now I'm a leadership coach certified by the International Coaching Federation. I "fly" alongside executives and others who are committed to improving their performance as "flight leads" in their organizations and communities. Here's the backstory: In the Air Force, a "flight" of aircraft is two or more aircraft intentionally operated by their pilots in close proximity to one another, under the leadership of a "flight lead.” The close proximity of a flight of fighter aircraft starts while the aviators are planning and briefing their next sortie; it includes tactical operations when the pilots are flying their aircraft sometimes two miles apart but nevertheless in complete synchronization, as well as time in the clouds when the pilots are flying sometimes only three-feet apart wingtip to wingtip, just like the Air Force Thunderbirds; and it only finishes after the aviators debrief in intense detail, sometimes taking more time to debrief a sortie than it took them to fly it. In a flight of two, the pilot or crew in the second jet is the "wingman," who is there to support the flight lead in the first jet through every phase of the mission. If you want to be a better, more effective, more fulfilled leader, I want to be your wingman in that endeavor. I have been a flight lead myself in a variety of challenging positions, both inside and outside the cockpit; and I am trained as a wingman to both ICF and USAF F-15E Strike Eagle standards, a powerful combination. I am also certified to facilitate multiple assessments, like The Leadership Circle 360° and the Leadership Practices Inventory 360°. Let me be your wingman, to support you wherever you operate.
