About wings of ART
The “wings of ART” event will is a ticketed event only, and all proceeds directly benefit Special Care, Inc. and the individual artists who have chosen to be a part of the show. “wings of ART” was founded by two friends, Special Care marketing and promotions director Michael Collins and local artist Christie Owen, who share a mutual love for the amazing kids at Special Care and the flourishing art scene in Oklahoma City. When they began teaching art lessons at Special Care, the lessons were enjoyed by all — the children, teachers, artists, parents and volunteers. Soon, the therapeutic connection between the kids and art gave way to solutions for other issues. Special Care needed more space to grow and Oklahoma artists needed more local support. “Wings of ART” was created with the mission to benefit everyone involved so the kids at Special Care can evolve, Oklahoma artists can connect with the community, and the sponsors could support and obtain great local art.
