About Winnipeg Transition Centre
Mission and Values: To engage and empower our participants to take control of their own career/training plans and goals and achieve the highest possible level of successful outcomes. The Winnipeg Transition Centre offers an array of professional development workshops that include 2 Certificate Programs. Active Learning Works!, our Professional Development training division, empowers individuals and organizations to make meaningful work and life transitions using practical and effective coaching, counseling, and facilitation training, including the Career/Employment Coach Certificate and Practical Workshop Facilitation Skills Certificate programs. Active Learning Works! presently has active collaborative partnerships with the University of Winnipeg PACE Program and Humber College in Toronto to provide the 2 Certificate programs across Canada. Since 2001, we have trained thousands of professionals across Canada. In 2020, both Certificate programs were converted to be delivered virtually to expand our training options. Other facilitation workshops include the 1-day Facilitation: Engage Now, our 2-day Facilitation Fundamentals, the 3-day Facilitating with Purpose, Facilitating through Challenges and Games, Tools & Techniques.
