About Winton Castle

Winton is a Scottish Castle and Sir Francis Ogilvy's family home. Since 2000 the Castle has been available for corporate and private hospitality for bespoke events on an exclusive use basis. Guests are welcomed here warmly. The Castle is grand but not aloof and it is a wonderful venue for special events. Winton lands predate the Magna Carta; the Setons built the House before Leonardo da Vinci established his reputation. The Seton's architect, the King's Master Mason, created the carved, twisted chimneys which still herald the palace within. His ornate plaster ceilings are the most elaborate in Scotland. Winton Castle can be exclusively yours for memorable corporate events, private parties & special celebrations, or team building sessions. We provide memorable dinners, lunches or barbeques, always customised to our guests' requirements. The Castle works well as one of best venues near Edinburgh for conference & meetings combined with activity days and team building events in the grounds. For a truly Scottish wedding, Winton is a dream location! You can also enjoy a wide range of activities here - clay pigeon shooting, Winton Highland Games, wine or whisky tasting, segways, Winton Laser Tag, miniature hovercraft (see website for activities).
