About Wisconsin Innocence Project
Wisconsin Innocence Project (WIP) is a company based out of UW Law School. One of the first law-school based Innocence Projects, the the Wisconsin Innocence Project has trained law students for over twenty-five years. Over the course of its history, WIP has helped to exonerate more than 30 people who were wrongfully convicted. Working under the supervision of law professors, students meet with clients, investigate cases, and litigate motions. Critically, students learn to question the criminal legal system and fight on behalf of their clients.
