WPR is proud of the award-winning work produced by more than 100 staff located across the state in Eau Claire, Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee, Superior and Wausau. Our 38 stations reach a weekly audience of more than 400,000 through broadcast, digital, podcast, social media and other platforms. Founded in 1917, WPR is deeply rooted in the Wisconsin Idea that the benefits of the University should reach everyone in the state. Our reporters, on-air producers, editors, hosts, and audio engineers strive for the highest standards. Behind the microphone skilled IT, web, development, marketing, business sponsorship, marketing and administrative staff support our mission to inform, entertain, educate and inspire. Wisconsin Public Radio is part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a service of the the Educational Communications Board and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting with listener support through the Wisconsin Public Radio Association.
