The Mobility Organizing Authorities have an easy-to-deploy solution to meet the strong demand for digitalization of services. They open their ticketing systems on mobile phones without compromising on the security, reliability and performance of their existing solutions. Wizway has developed its solutions based on NFC (Near Field Communication) contactless technology, already widely deployed in public transport with more than one billion transport cards used in cities around the world. Now available in 95% of smartphones sold, it is the preferred technology on mobile phones when it comes to securing transactions, as proven by the growth of payment solutions such as Google Pay, Apple Pay or Samsung Pay, all relying on NFC. Wizway provides mobility operators with a complete range of services for dematerialisation of tickets on NFC smartphones: emulation of transport cards and reloading of "physical" transport cards. Since its first implementation in 2018 in Strasbourg, other major transport networks have deployed this solution: Paris Ile-de-France, Lille and SNCF TER. The use of smartphones to purchase and validate contactless transport tickets continues to progress and is making an effective contribution to barrier gestures.
