About WMG, University of Warwick
WMG is an academic department at the University of Warwick. Our research and education bridge the gap between academia and the public and private sectors, driving innovation across science, technology and engineering. WMG was founded by the late Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyyain 1980 to help reinvigorate UK manufacturing and help businesses overcome barriers to innovation. WMG’s pioneering research and education programmes, in partnership with UK and global business, has helped to transform firms in sectors such as automotive, advanced manufacturing and digital technologies. Our track record makes us the first choice for global businesses looking to invest in new techniques, products and skills that have a real impact on economic growth, society, and the environment. WMG’s education programmes begin with schools, following through to undergraduate and postgraduate level. Our focus is on creating lifelong learning opportunities for global talent in partnership with industry. We provide a range of courses and education programmes, from the WMG Academies for Young Engineers, degree apprenticeships, undergraduate and postgraduate Master’s courses, through to professional programmes and research degrees. WMG’s postgraduate programmes have international reach, with many being offered with global partners, allowing us to share our knowledge with working professionals as well as full-time students in a local industrial and economic context.
