Wo-Built's Vision Statement * “To be the leading design & build company that is sought after for its innovative design and quality construction and one that is recognized for using their projects as a means to helping women, the community and the environment” or in short * “To be the best (builder) while doing good” Letter from the CEO I have often been asked how Wo-Built differs from other construction companies. On the surface we are one of the few female-led design and build companies in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada, committed to excellence, but the main difference is that we created Wo-Built around a social mission. We wanted to mentor women in the building trades. We provide mentoring, employment and support for women through our construction projects. We believe that women are great assets to the building industry, especially in the finishing trades, and we want to help cultivate their distinctive talents when possible. Over the years, this mission has been expanded to include "green" building and to create affordable housing in the community. Our long-term goal is to combine training as well as providing affordable housing. As a renovation company, we offer complete design and build services for custom homes, 2nd floor additions, front and rear extensions, and extensive interior remodeling. Some of our other services include in-house kitchen designs and remodeling, home maintenance service plans and commercial construction and renovation. We strive to be recognized for innovative design and excellent construction. Our aim is to provide a wonderful construction experience for our clients with good communication and to bring our unique ‘with a Woman’s Touch’ to every project.
