A hands-on traveling laboratory component provides students the opportunity to refine skills and develop scanning techniques to prepare them for externship rotations. The WRDLC program trains students to become competitive entry-level diagnostic medical sonographers that meet the high demands of today's market. Students can customize their schedules and study wherever they can bring their smart device. This is the 1st Competency-based program with a portable lab component that travels to the student. All applicants must register and take the Pioneer Ultrasound Prerequisite course prior to enrollment to the program. This fun, non-vocational, course introduces the applicant to the world of ultrasound including discovering the pioneers who have contributed to the development of this amazing modality into the diagnostic imaging scene, associations and organizations that encompass ultrasound imaging, and the types of careers available to them post-graduation.
