The school has a rich history of providing an excellent education. We pride ourselves on our traditions, but we do not stand still, we are striving for continuous improvement. It is an exciting place to be! This is a warm and friendly school with a community family atmosphere. Pastoral care and support are our top priority, ensuring that students feel happy, safe and secure. Students are supported by their tutor, the teaching staff, our pastoral leaders and our wellbeing support officers and therapeutic team who offer tailored support. There are times when we need support and our student wellbeing charter underpins our varied offer. We are a hard-working and caring school offering a wide range of opportunities both in and outside of the classroom. Students thrive in leading and participating in extra-curricular activities in the fields of sport, music and drama amongst many other areas. There is a plethora of activities for the students to engage in from leading whole school events; to organising charity fundraising activities; participating in debating competitions and enjoying expeditions abroad. The house system also provides many opportunities for girls to engage in fun activities. Students take on various leadership posts and act as role models. Our students grow up believing in themselves and empowered to make a difference in school, the local community and the wider world. We encourage students to challenge, to ask questions and think independently. We are very proud of the way in which our students play a key role in driving forward school developments.
