About Wombs of the World

Wombs of the World is a global reproductive justice initiative devoted to improving maternal health outcomes through education, connection, and cultural preservation. We believe that birth is not only a biological event, it’s a cultural one. By training and uplifting birthworkers across borders, we are creating a global network of doulas, midwives, and educators committed to justice, healing, and community care. Through immersive learning experiences in Tanzania, Mexico, Ecuador, and South Africa, as well as online training programs, conferences, and partnerships, we bridge ancestral birth knowledge with modern perinatal care. We believe in community-led solutions, anti-colonial education, and the power of storytelling to transform birth culture.
