About Women in Business Association
Women in Business Association strives to advocate equality for women in the workplace through awareness, activism, education, and empowerment. Meeting Times and Location: Wednesdays @3:00 PM in BUSN 310 Story: The Women in Business Association is committed to mention issues involving commerce and act to resolve any indifference. Members are informed about the culture of different business environments and through a variety of different activities including seminars and community service, sanctioned to cause an effect in their own environments. WBA officially became a Student chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in May 2012. AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. For 130 years, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day — educational, social, economic, and political. WBA and AAUW - Breaking through barriers! Goals: 1.To serve as a forum for networking through community service. 2.To promote the growth of knowledge as professionals in order to leave a legacy. 3.To foster interest in empowering fellow students in our path. 4.To develop experiences designed to develop skills in leadership and self-confidence. 5.To provide members with an opportunity to meet accomplished business women.
