Women In Defense (WID) provides a dynamic, forward-thinking community for developing leadership skills, cultivating relationships, as well as mentoring, and education through a variety of national and regional events addressing some of the most pressing national defense issues. Through the HORIZONS program, women seeking post-bachelor’s degree scholarships are given the opportunity to further their educational objectives and career pursuits in the defense workforce through a demonstrated commitment to creating a more diverse national security marketplace. Women In Defense Greater Los Angeles Chapter (WID-GLAC) is the 18th chapter of Women In Defense (WID), a national security organization affiliated with NDIA, which cultivates and supports the advancement and recognition of women in all aspects of national security. WID-GLAC was founded October 2012 to support members in Los Angeles, Orange County, and surrounding areas. Our membership is comprised of a diverse demographic of women and men from a significant cross-section of aerospace, defense, and national security professions including manufacturing, design & engineering, advisory services, and academia. WID-GLAC is a source for networking, professional development, and mentoring with other women leaders.
