About Women in Nature Conservation (Long Island)

Our mission is to foster a community where women can connect, collaborate, and drive positive change to address pressing environmental challenges using their unique perspectives, skills & passion. Our approach is two-fold. Community Building: Cultivating a supportive and inclusive network where women from diverse backgrounds can come together to share knowledge, experiences, and resources. By fostering strong connections, we aim to create a sense of belonging that empowers each member to contribute effectively to environmental initiatives. Education and Advocacy: Empowering women with the knowledge and skills needed to become influential advocates for environmental sustainability. Through workshops, seminars, and collaborative projects, we strive to enhance our members' understanding of key environmental issues and equip them with the tools to drive positive change in their communities. Together, we aim to create a powerful force for environmental change, demonstrating that women play a vital role in shaping a sustainable and resilient future for all. Through collaboration, education, and action, our network strives to be a catalyst for positive environmental transformation led by women.
