About Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) Queen's University Chapter
Established in 1990, Queen’s WiSE is a student-run organization committed to promoting and advocating for the involvement of all women in STEM. Our mission has always been to inspire, educate, and collaborate to promote & accelerate diversity in STEM industries. WiSE has a large presence both on campus and in the Kingston community. From encouraging the next generation through our community outreach, to providing impactful mentorship opportunities, WiSE aims to support women who are changing the world through STEM. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and encouraging space to uplift one another. Queen’s WiSE is committed to equity, diversity and inclusivity across STEM industries. Queen’s WiSE welcomes everyone from cis and trans women, non- binary individuals, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQIA2S+ persons. WiSE is an equal-opportunity organization, and we encourage any interested students to join our club and/or volunteer with our programs.
