With 'mean' girl behaviour starting in kindergarten, 12 year olds self-harming, 15 and 16 year old already in toxic relationships, and yes, sometimes they are the toxic ones, our 20 somethings are riddled with anxiety, women earning $253.50 less per week on average than their male counterparts, 60% of women returning from maternity leave feel discriminated against. The Police respond to a family violence call every two minutes across Australia. With one woman a week losing her life at the hands of her current or ex partner. On average women retire with 47% less super than men, 30% of our older women are living below the poverty line with many at risk of homelessness. The good news is... we women are incredible. Imagine the power, the impact and potential if/when we come together to change women's experiences in the world. Our aim is to bring every single woman across Australia together, to 'JOIN' Women of Oz. You have complete autonomy to select your fortnightly or monthly membership fee (donation). Whether you can help financially, by donating your time, expertise, or ideas, it will all help. We are creating some amazing programs, such as Girlkind|Kindgirl to eradicate mean girl behaviour. Our Wheels 2 Freedom program is getting cars to women in need and WOMONEY and PLENTY20's aim to build financial literacy and independence. Our long term goals are to focus on housing for girls and women in need. Won't you join us?
