Our Vision at the Women’s Centre of York Region is “All women thriving personally, socially and economically”. Our inclusive and collaborative approach creates a place of hope where women are supported to thrive. Serving women and their families in York Region since 1977, we believe that every woman deserves to feel empowered and live to her full potential. For women who have identified the need and desire for positive change in their lives, Women’s Centre of York Region offers unique programming and services that address a range of circumstances. Unlike any other organization in York Region, our programs and services are offered at little or no cost. In a safe and inclusive environment, we welcome each woman and meet her right where she is. Our goal is to fully support each woman on her personal journey of discovery in order that she thrives fully. Our inclusive and collaborative approach creates a place of hope where women are supported to thrive. Guided by the principles of Inclusion, Collaboration, Connecting, Learning, Innovation and Possibility – the holistic and multi-dimensional approach of the Women’s Centre of York Region expands each woman’s capacity to participate in and contribute to her community and the economy. We’re best known for helping women break through barriers to success and reach their true potential.
