About Women's Football Centre
The Women’s Football Centre (WFC) is an initiative which runs a free summer Skills Centre in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand for women 18 years and older. Instagram: www.instagram.com/womensfootballcentre/ Facebook: www.facebook.com/womensfootballcentre/ The Skills Centre was established in 2023 with the aim of creating a welcoming, empowering and non-judgmental environment for All Women* (aged 18+) to learn football or return to the game after a break. By targeting underrepresented and often under targeted demographic of women - 18 years +, the WFC seeks to promote inclusivity in football. Created by footballers for footballers, the initiative has been particularly timely harnessing the increased visibility of women’s football in New Zealand due to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
