WHAM, (Women’s Health Access Matters), a non-profit organization, was founded by Carolee Lee in 2020. WHAM is committed to accelerating research and innovation in women’s health through a focus on the economic value of investment. Since its founding, WHAM has shifted the dialogue on women’s health. WHAM’s Board adds leadership expertise in finance, business, and healthcare. WHAM informs: The first WHAM Reports, produced with the RAND Corporation, quantified the economic benefits of investing in women’s health research. WHAM convenes and connects through: • The WHAM Research Collaborative, a network of leading scientists, researchers and medical professionals working together to advance women’s health • The WHAM Investment Collaborative, a network of leaders from venture capital through private equity committed to expanding investment in women’s health • The Investigator’s Fund, offering financial support to new and innovative research to add to understanding of sex and gender in health research. Our values: WHAM’s work is guided by the ethical, empirical, and economic reasons to invest in women’s health.
