About Womxn RISE Pre-Health Organization

WRISE is a pre-health organization that helps womxn navigate the challenges of a professional workplace and provide resources and connections for those interested in various healthcare occupations. While many undergraduates are unsure about which healthcare profession to choose, there are also scarce resources and networking opportunities offered at the undergraduate level about many of the professions. As an organization, we plan to provide mentorship opportunities, board of panelists, workshops, networking within the pre-health community, and volunteer opportunities. We aspire to create more dialogue and address issues (ie. imposter syndrome) within the USC community by organizing community-wide events with panelists of pre-health students, alumni, faculty, doctors, etc. that may have prior or current experience dealing with these difficulties. We are determined to lead this group by creating a good foundation of networking and community since all members will have a similar goal of becoming healthcare providers. We strive to promote inclusivity and diversity through our leadership, and increase the representation of womxn throughout the pre-health community.
