Wonderland Child Care, established in March 1991, has consistently received the State of TN’s highest rating of 3 Stars since 2001. The center is owned and directed by Sharon Rimer, CDA and family. Our highly qualified and loving staff is dedicated to providing quality care by nourishing both the heart and mind of every child who enters our care. The center offers programs for preschool children (ages 3-5 years), as well as before & after school, school-out, and summer day camp programs for school-aged kids (ages 5-12, grades K+). Located on Hwy 11W in Surgoinsville, Wonderland is a convenient and affordable child care option for parents living or working here in town or in surrounding areas such as Rogersville, Church Hill, or Kingsport. Our philosophy is that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration, and discovery. Young children are creative and receptive, so our program strives to nurture these qualities in each student by: * introducing morals and ethics appropriate for their level of growth and maturity. * providing a comprehensive educational experience that includes all of the domains of learning. * nurturing the emotional well-being of each child by showing love, promoting mutual respect, and imparting values. * providing for the social well-being of the children by fostering respect for authority, good manners, and life skills necessary for becoming a thriving member of society. * instilling the importance of a healthy lifestyle and establishing a foundation for developing healthy habits. Our purpose is to provide a safe and healthy environment based on developmentally appropriate guidelines, thereby encouraging the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of each child.
