At Wonked, we believe that all children deserve instruction from highly competent teachers using data-driven practices to help them surpass their goals and develop a passion for learning. Most tutors on the market hire fresh-out-of-college mentors with no classroom teaching experience and little to no education-specific training. That means most tutors and mentors don’t know what students actually need to be most successful in the classroom. We know the best teachers have formal education training and experience, in addition to expertise in the field they teach. That’s why all of our tutors are licensed teachers in one or more states and served as a classroom K-12 teacher for at least 2 years before starting at Wonked.
