About WoodLake Group

Through two predecessor firms, WoodLake Group has been involved in Private Equity since the early 1980s. It was founded to invest family office funds, primarily from Europe and Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, in US alternative assets (Private Equity and Real Estate). In our investments we sought - and still seek - unique ways of delivering returns by creating investment opportunities designed to meet risk/reward goals. During these past three decades we have acquired a range of assets mostly in Private Equity (middle market companies). The assets covered nine industry sectors and represented several hundred million dollars in transaction value. To achieve these returns across diverse assets, we developed acquisition strategies to acquire a balanced portfolio of assets, while seeking the highest returns. Throughout this multi-decade period, we successfully adapted to changing domestic and global investment environments. During challenging market conditions, we have held firm within flexible guidelines. But when the economy prospered, we took off. Our long term track record rests on a breadth of expertise, long standing experience, nimble investment strategies and excellent management teams. We have had a long and successful investing relationship with Fieldston Investors and are co-investors and board members in a number of transactions. Fieldston Investors is a leading PE financial sponsor that was started by Jim Needham in 1989. We remain focused on our Private Equity business and are seeking opportunities that match our acquisition criteria.
