Woods Architecture is dedicated to providing custom residential design solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients. A home is comprised of a series of relationships between people, spaces, privacy, transparency, and surrounding context. We start the creative process by exploring our client’s vision of how these relationships interact, their desires for public and private spaces, and their interaction with indoor and outdoor living. Understanding the way our clients envision the way they intend to live within these spaces, either in private contemplation or public entertainment, becomes the spark for the design exploration. Homes are always a part of a broader context and, for this reason, we investigate the project specifics to ensure that our approach is one that respects the surrounding community and appropriately responds to development issues. By carefully considering topography, hydrology, climate, landscape, and context we strive for a harmonious response more deeply entrenched in its surrounding environment.
