About Woohoo Education

Woohoo is changing the game (pun intended) in education, because we believe it's the key to equal opportunities for all. We will play a key role to increase the access to learning especially for people who currently have least access to it. The issues we have identified are: - Access to education in rural and remote areas isn’t scalable, schools are hard to reach and expensive to build. - Education isn’t engaging enough to keep children in disadvantaged groups motivated to learn, which is sometimes a bigger challenge than accessibility. - The way of distributing educational content nowadays isn’t agile enough to keep up with changes in other parts of our society. We believe the solution lies in merging behaviours that humans have been practising for millennia, with approaches that are only possible now from emergent technologies. The foundation is that the most natural way to learn is through play, and the best way to make people retain a message is through stories. In other words, we are creating a video-game as a platform for development and cultural exchange. In order to tackle these issues step by step and to achieve our final vision, we will first target English-speaking kids from 4-7 years old. We will use the United Kingdom as a launchpad towards developing markets, as the British curriculum is still used as a reference in many English-speaking countries.
