Sometimes, challenging times lead to great inspiration. That’s certainly true for woohooPets and our founder, Renee. At the age of 25, Renee received a cancer diagnosis, and she quickly learned she was not alone. She was shocked to learn there has been a 300% increase in bowel cancer in young people over the last decade, with a similar trend in dogs and cats. Studies have shown that much of this rise can be linked to the processed food in our - and our pets’ - diets. Diving deep into her exploration of nutrition, Renee learned not only how foundational clean nutrition is to our wellness but also how difficult it can be to access whole food products. She began thinking about how important transparency and clean food are to our health and well-being and to our fur buddies. As she took steps to reclaim her vitality, Renee couldn’t help but think of her beloved pup: shouldn’t he have the same attention to his quality of life? With over 12 years in the pet industry, Renee has interacted with thousands of customers and pets. She has seen a consistent need for true single protein products that are simple, affordable, and easy to integrate into existing diets.
