About Wooriro

Wooriro was founded in 1998 and began producing Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) devices along with PLC related devices such as optical splitters, Arrayed Waveguide Grating(AWG) devices. Wooriro introduced those superb products to optical communication market. Wooriro believes it contributed significantly to the establishment of FTTH networks worldwide. Inevitably, Wooriro became a world-wide leader in PLC splitter. Wooriro expanded its production of InGaAs Photodiode (PD) for commercial optical communication and defense use in 2010. It would later develop series of electro-optical modules such as, 10Gb/s PIN-PD/APD, 25Gb/s PIN-PD/APD, 50Gb/s PINPD/ APD chip and ROSA. Wooriro continuously refined InGaAs APD technology, thus successfully developing InGaAs Single Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) with best performance in today’s quantum cryptography communication hardware market. Wooriro is primed to improve the performance of defense sensors greatly, using our single-photon technology to the defense industry. Wooriro will continue to enhance InGaAs technology in production of electro-optical modules to be used in advanced security and defense systems. Consequently, Wooriro strives to provide superior products to future defense and security systems. It is responsible for the development of optical and quantum industries through various new product development and solutions, building optical infrastructure based on major products such as PLC splitter, optical semiconductor-based optical sensor, single photon detector, 5G and ROSA for high-speed optical communication.
