About Word Up Design Culture

Word Up is a creative design studio based in Cape Town. We are a small team that specialises in graphic design and branding services. Word Up was founded in 2008 by Natasha April (graphic designer/cartoonist) and André Maggott (DJ/photographer). We are experienced creatives who share a passion for producing designs that help our clients achieve their business objectives. At Word Up we believe a good concept is what drives good design. It’s important to us to keep things simple while collaborating with our clients to support and enhance their work. We provide a variety of services which include graphic design, photography, illustration and printing. Our projects range from conceptualizing corporate identities to designing flyers and banners across both print and digital formats. We are confident that we can provide solutions for all new projects. We have a strong network of experienced partners from different disciplines whose expertise we use according to the specific needs of each project – whether it’s a big project for a large corporate or a simple design for a small start-up business. Word Up Ezine Word Up loves creative people. And what we love even more, is showing the world who those people are, through our Ezine (electronic magazine). Our aim is to add value to the global creative community by promoting South African artists alongside their international counterparts. We are continuously being inspired by the creativity of artists and this shows in the design of our Ezine. We feature all forms of expression, from graffiti, sculpture and cartooning, to break dancing, photography and DJing.
