Hamilton’s Green Economy In 2024, we are witnessing a national and significant transition towards a Clean Economy. At WPH, we are actively engaged in researching Hamilton’s Green Economy. Our objective is to uncover insights on the current status of Hamilton’s local Green Economy, providing a comprehensive overview of the region’s Clean Economy landscape. Our goal is to identify both macro and micro-level changes that local businesses are implementing to foster a Greener Hamilton. 2. Hamilton Youth Workforce WPH remains dedicated to empowering the youth within our community by offering access to employment opportunities, labor market insights, and local resources in the city. Our commitment extends to keeping youth informed and actively involved in the local workforce. Throughout this year, we will persist in sharing valuable content through @HamiltonYouthWorkforce on Instagram and supporting community-driven initiatives aimed at bolstering the youth workforce in Hamilton. 3. Hamilton’s Hidden Challenges in Early Childhood Education (ECE) WPH is engaging with current and past-ECE’s to understand and identify the pain-points of recruiting and retaining ECE’s in the region. . The research hopes to discover insight into understanding: · Personal challenges people have faced working as an ECE · Intersection of challenges in the non-profit, private and educational ECE sectors · Feedback from employers in the sector regarding workforce challenges from the employers point of view 4. Hamilton’s Employer One Survey In partnership with City of Hamilton’s Economic Development Division we will hold our 12th year of the Employer One survey to share an updated snapshot of Hamilton’s businesses and employers needs.
