About Workshop East
Workshop East is a multidisciplinary centre for making. We provide space and high quality facilities for designer-makers, craftspeople and artists working with materials including wood, stone and clay. The makers based at Workshop East have their own dedicated space, with access to shared tools, machinery and skills, in a friendly environment and at an affordable rate. By doing this we aim to promote learning, information sharing, collaboration, and ideas. We are a Community Interest Company and all income is funneled back into maintaining the workshop and developing the organisation. We aim to be a visible point of making and creativity within the community whilst at the same time allowing people to develop their practical skills, their businesses, and their opportunities; to be innovative, playful and professional.
