About World Championship of Chinese Cuisine 2016
The World Championship of Chinese Cuisine (WCCC) is the most important international chefs contest in taste, techniques, innovation and creativity in Chinese fine food, by far the most popular cuisine in the world. WCCC is held every 4 years in carefully selected countries. The 8th edition of the prestegious global chefs contest is held on September 19-21, 2016 in Rotterdam, the Asian meeting point in Europe. It’s the first time ever the WCCC is organised outside of Asia. Over 400 chefs with the highest expertise in Chinese fine food are participating in 100 international chef’s teams, including Singapore, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Netherlands, France, Spain and Korea. The teams are challenged to prepare six dishes within 3½ hours, from appetizers to main courses and desserts. The results will be judged by a distinguished culinary panel. Visitors of the unique event will be given a challenging taste of excellence in Chinese Cuisine, feasted with a vibrant artistic culinary show on the highest thinkable level. The WCCC 2016 will be accompanied with a conference on modern Chinese cuisine and an inspiring expo in Chinese fine food, presented by leading suppliers in superior oriental food. The WCCC is regarded as ‘The Olympic Games of Chinese Cuisine’, and is the international paramount of superior Chinese-style cooking competitions. Organised by the World Association of Chinese Cuisine (WACC), the championship invites chefs and teams from Chinese cuisine restaurants from around the world. The 2016 edition in Rotterdam is proudly hosted by Stichting landelijke Federatie van Chinese organisations in Nederland (LFCON).
