World of Mirth is often described as a place where Pee Wee’s Playhouse meets pop culture and is the only woman owned local toy store in Richmond, VA. Established in 1993, World of Mirth began as a funky little vintage and novelty shop determined to provide a shopping experience that was a much-needed alternative to the mainstream. Through the years we have held on to the desire to offer more than your average store, happily maturing into what is often described as the best toy store on Earth (seriously, people have said that- we wouldn't make it up). Our products appeal to kids as well as kids at heart with an emphasis on items that you just cannot find at any old store. We strive to create a sense of joy and wonder- nothing makes us happier than seeing the look on someone's face when they walk through our doors. We believe that play should be encouraged no matter what your age. Always kid-friendly, always cutting edge, our shelves are chock-full of cool stuff to entertain, educate and amuse.
