The WTC-KC mission is to facilitate international trade in Greater Kansas City by connecting, educating, and providing services to the regional business community necessary to compete in the global marketplace. The World Trade Center Kansas City (WTC-KC) is committed to elevating our region’s standing in that global economy. Serving companies both domestic and international, the WTC-KC is the leading international service provider for the Kansas City region and aims to refine traditional economic development models towards a focus on international trade. As a central convener of the region’s international business community, it supports the region through a variety of programs and services including educational workshops, export documentation processing, market research services, and networking events. Currently WTC-KC has taken an even greater stance as a leader in promoting the region’s exports by becoming a selected participant in the Global Cities Initiative. The WTC-KC is a member of the largest trade network in the world, comprised of more than 300 business communities around the globe through the WTCA Network. The WTC‐KC operates under a license held by the KC Chamber, in partnership with the Kansas City Area Development Council (KCADC) and Kansas City SmartPort (KC SmartPort). The WTC-KC’s globally recognized brand raises the international profile of a region and acts as an economic development platform. We represent a global network of active and planned locations in 330 cities in over 100 countries that work to create competitive advantage for businesses conducting international trade in their region.
