About World Water Missons
WORLD WATER MISSIONS and INITIATIVES for PEOPLES of DEVELOPING COUNTRIES, Inc. (WWMI) is a multi-faith sponsored, Georgia (USA) based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which has as its mission, the providing of water to peoples in need, using readily available surface water sources or existing wells (boreholes). Such surface waters and existing well water sources are often polluted with bacteria and organic materials which render available water unsafe to drink. However, new chemistries and products are now emerging which are easily implemented in areas where no infrastructure or expertise is available or needed. These technologies are not normally readily available to needy populations because the lack of ongoing commercial distribution channels that could make the technology available or these channels do not serve Lesser Developed Countries (LDC) or they are not set up to respond to emergency situations.
