About Worldview Foundation
Worldview Foundation creates new futures and supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to overcome barriers to employment. Worldview is an ACNC registered charity registered with Supply Nation. Our Board & Executive is majority (60%) Indigenous & consists of highly experienced leaders with expertise across corporate, government & not-for-profit sectors. In 2022 we were recognised as ACT NAIDOC Organisation of the Year. The Worldview group includes WV Technologies, a social enterprise that delivers best-in-class IT Lifecycle Service to government & corporate clients through sanitising and destroying data & IT assets & recycling e-waste (www.wvtech.com.au). Worldview aims to ensure wellbeing, stable employment and balanced lives for Indigenous people facing disadvantage, including young people at risk, people with disability and ex-detainees. To achieve this we delivers a pre-employment program that covers: - Personal Development, Life & Mindset Coaching - Health, Nutrition & Exercise - Social Connection, & Culture - Education & Training - Employment - Accommodation The program offers holistic mentoring, coaching & wellbeing support, integrated with training and employment. Participants work in WV Technologies' eWaste recycling warehouse, while getting training, licenses, tickets, and support to develop career goals, aspirations & pathways. Since 2018, Worldview Foundation has supported 60 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people to achieve sustainable employment & meet their personal goals. These range from enrolling in further education, to securing promotions, to buying their first vehicles. Team members have been recognised with awards including ACT NAIDOC Community Sector Worker of the Year. Independent evaluations of the program have found an 8:1 return on investment with social & economic benefits including reduced recidivism, increased economic participation, reduced reliance on income support & improved mental health outcomes.
