About WORUDET: Women and Rural Development Networks
Women and Rural Development Networks (WORUDET) is a dedicated women’s rights organization committed to empowering a diverse range of women and girls, particularly those affected by the ravages of war and conflicts. Since its establishment in 2003, WORUDET has been registered with the National NGO Bureau (Reg No. 6592). At the heart of our mission is our comprehensive programming, designed to equip women and girls with the tools to equitably participate in and shape, decisions within their households and communities. We strive to enhance their overall well-being, improve health outcomes and facilitate connections to support networks. We have both a local and national-level footprint. We are actively engaged in impactful projects spanning the greater East Acholi region, encompassing Pader, Agago, Kitgum and Lamwo districts. Our programming reach also extends into parts of West Nile. Simultaneously, we conduct advocacy efforts at the national level, diligently working to influence policies and laws that have a profound impact on the lives of women and girls. Our dedication to both grassroots initiatives and national advocacy underscores our commitment to promoting positive change and empowering women and girls across diverse contexts.
